RAILWAY TERMINAL MANAGEMENT
Trailer exclusively manages strategic rail terminals, integrating rail and road transport for fast, safe, and sustainable flows. We offer reception, handling, and shipment of goods through high-performance infrastructures, including covered warehouses, open storage yards, and internal rail tracks—both covered and uncovered—for quick operations.
Trailer operates the Rezzato rail terminal, located on the Milan–Venice line.
In Rezzato (Milan–Venice line), we have 11,500 m² of covered warehouses, 20,000 m² of open storage, and over 1,000 m of dedicated rail tracks. Since 2020, we have operated the Ospitaletto terminal (70,000 m², four tracks totaling over 1,600 m), handling up to 500,000 tons annually. Since 2023, we also operate at the Verona terminal, a European hub dedicated to containers, with specialized equipment and two tracks for rapid intermodal operations.
Since 2023, Trailer has managed an operational area at the Verona rail terminal, one of Europe’s main logistics hubs, dedicated to container handling. We have optimized space for loading and unloading flows, equipped with efficient container-handling machinery, and manage two tracks for fast and coordinated intermodal operations.
At our terminals, we use forklifts up to 42 tons, mobile cranes up to 40 tons, and overhead cranes up to 35 tons. We invest in high-capacity equipment, advanced management systems, and intermodal solutions to reduce downtime and environmental impact, increasing operational capacity and providing clients with a highly competitive and sustainable service.
Trailer continuously invests in logistics innovation, adopting high-capacity equipment, cutting-edge management systems, and intermodal solutions that significantly reduce environmental impact. The integration of rail terminals with storage infrastructures helps minimize downtime, maximize operational capacity, and ensure clients receive a highly competitive service.
Rail Shunting Operations
Trailer independently manages secondary rail shunting services with its own certified equipment and qualified, experienced personnel.
To achieve maximum efficiency in rail operations, Trailer has trained its staff to handle shunting directly within the terminals. This extensive expertise allows us to operate with reduced timings and high flexibility, independent of external operators.
Our specialists are certified with a PDTA (Train Preparers – Shunter) certificate, as well as a Train Driver’s License and a complementary Train Driver Certificate, authorizing them to operate locomotives.
We have rental locomotives for autonomous wagon movements, enabling precise positioning within loading and unloading areas.
Rail Wagon Loading and Unloading
Trailer manages rail wagon loading and unloading operations with meticulous attention and efficiency, ensuring maximum safety and speed in all movements. We have dedicated equipment and specialized tools for handling different types of cargo, optimizing operations based on the characteristics of each load.
At our terminals, the tracks run inside the warehouses, allowing direct loading and unloading operations protected from the weather, while enhancing overall logistical functionality.
Warehouse and Storage Yard Management
Trailer operates and manages covered warehouses and open storage yards: each item is catalogued and recorded to ensure proper traceability and reduce handling times.
Our large spaces allow us to store significant quantities of goods, guaranteeing immediate availability and optimized operational flows. With our specialized equipment, we move goods directly within the warehouses, ensuring a very fast service.
Trailer uses a constantly updated IT system in line with market requirements to manage warehouse flows, maintaining consistent and accurate information for our clients.
